Are Electricians required to be licensed in the state of North Carolina?
Professional electricians who work as residential electricians or provide commercial electrical contracting services are required to be licensed and certified by the North Carolina Board of Electrical Contractors. There are ten different classifications of electrical contracting licenses. Each license has a specific scope and/or limitations of work allowed.
